an underwater lightning strike
along the deep-sea ocean floor

first, there was a spark
a cataclysmic beam of you
pierces me, in what came a great bright beam of light

inside the mantle
of the body

a traveler, moving downward
seeking to touch the bottom of eternity

searching for being
in continuous motion towards what lies beyond
revealing a wide open, expandingly vast ocean

halogenic glimmers of the beacon
undergoing alchemical transformation, changing form and shape

your heart is made of gold
and may it coat the entire earth

the magic is that there's a way in
the light finds its opposite and meets dark like their hearts are tethered
giving room for it all to come true

as if the soul was fabric
tied together
and bound
through infinitesimal pieces

the way that a light beam punctures through the surface of the water
traveling down to touch the bottom
and inbreathing new life again
